Con l'ultima spedizione di vettovaglie sono arrivate sulla ISS anche 12 bottiglie di vino, per la precisione di Bordeaux. Sfortunatamente gli astronauti non potranno berle... infatti sono parte di un esperimento per valutare gli effetti delle radiazioni cosmiche e della microgravità sull'invecchiamento del vino: le bottiglie verranno conservate per un anno a 18°C, quindi torneranno sulla Terra per essere confrontate con 12 bottiglie conservate nello stesso modo sulla superficie del pianeta...
Però un brindisi ci starebbe!
With the last shipment of provisions, 12 bottles of wine, to be precise of Bordeaux, arrived on the ISS. Unfortunately the astronauts will not be allowed to drink them... in fact they are part of an experiment to evaluate the effects of cosmic radiation and microgravity on wine ageing: the bottles will be stored for one year at 164° F, then they will return to Earth to be compared with 12 bottles stored in the same way on the planet's surface...
But a toast would be appreciated!
