Il 30 agosto 2019 è stata scoperta nell'osservatorio di Nauchnij, Crimea, la cometa C/2019 Q4 (Borisov); la sua particolarità è che si pensa che sia un oggetto interstellare, ovvero che arrivi da un altro sistema stellare. Se così fosse, sarebbe il secondo oggetto di quel genere mai avvistato, dopo l'asteroide ‘Oumuamua, individuato a ottobre 2017... secondo gli scienziati la sua velocità fa supporre che non solo arrivi da un altro sistema stellare, ma anche che proseguirà la sua corsa oltre il nostro, dopo il perielio che avverrà l'8 dicembre...
On August 30, 2019, the comet C/2019 Q4 (Borisov) was discovered by the Nauchnij Observatory in Crimea; its peculiarity is that it is thought to be an interstellar object, i.e. that it comes from another star system.
