Finora tutti gli astronauti inviati nello spazio hanno viaggiato con mezzi dei vari enti spaziali nazionali... ma tra pochi mesi potranno viaggiare anche con voli di compagnie private.
Per questo sono state installati sulla ISS due adattatori di attracco internazionali (international docking adapters - IDAs), che permetteranno la connessione con il CST-100 Starliner di Boeing e con il Crew Dragon di SpaceX, le due aziende private che in futuro trasporteranno gli astronauti...
Il secondo è stato installato oggi, con una passeggiata spaziale durata 6 ore e 32 minuti!
