Il telescopio spaziale a raggi X Chandra compie 20 anni: è partito dal Kennedy Space Center con lo Space Shuttle Columbia il 23 luglio 1999.
In questi anni Chandra ha permesso di studiare diversi fenomeni, dalla materia oscura ai buchi neri supermassivi... e molti fenomeni che studia ora non erano neppure conosciuti quando è stato sviluppato...

The Chandra X-ray space telescope is 20 years old: it lifted off from the Kennedy Space Center with the Space Shuttle Columbia on July 23rd, 1999.
During these years, Chandra has allowed us to study different phenomena, from dark matter to supermassive black holes... and many phenomena that it studies now were not even known when it was developed...
So, happy birthday, Chandra!
