Può un aeroporto essere qualcosa di diverso da un aeroporto?
L’architetto Moshe Safdie pensa di sì, e per l'aeroporto di Singapore ha pensato ad una struttura che è un misto tra un parco, un centro commerciale e un bosco; composto da 5 piani, alto 40 metri, presenta anche la cascata interna più alta del mondo, che può anche recuperare l'acqua piovana.
E ci passa anche un treno, per quei passeggeri che hanno fretta ma possono comunque godere, seppur brevemente, di una foresta nell'aeroporto...
Can an airport be anything other than an airport?
The architect Moshe Safdie thinks so, and for the Singapore airport he thought of a structure that is a mixture of a park, a shopping centre and a forest; composed of 5 floors, 40 meters high, it also exhibits the highest indoor waterfall in the world, which can recover rainwater, too.
And it is even crossed by a train, for those passengers who are in a hurry but can still enjoy, albeit briefly, a forest in the airport...
