O, forse, è un segnale molto importante che qualcosa di grave sta succedendo sul nostro pianeta: lo scioglimento dei ghiacci della Groenlandia! In realtà il ghiaccio c'è, sotto la superficie, ma il fatto che sia coperto da uno strato d'acqua è un chiaro segnale che si sta sciogliendo... e questo ha un duplice effetto, perché venendo a mancare il bianco del ghiaccio meno luce, e quindi meno calore, viene riflesso, con la conseguenza che aumenta il riscaldamento e si scioglie più ghiaccio...
Insomma, un circolo vizioso che ha già portato, dal 1972 ad oggi ad un incremento di circa 14 mm dell'altezza dei mari!
