A new observation by the Hubble space telescope has allowed the scientists to identify in the Interstellar Medium (ISM) charged organic molecules, formed by 60 carbon atoms; these molecules have the shape of a hollow sphere, and are part of a compound called “Buckminsterfullerene”, which has been observed for the first time in vacuum in an ionized form and which suggests that other organic molecules may also exist in the depths of space...
