Comet Interceptor

L'agenzia Spaziale Europea sta preparando una missione definita Comet Interceptor, che avrà lo scopo di fotografare una cometa al suo primo passaggio nel sistema solare.
La missione partirà probabilmente nel 2028, e sarà composta da tre moduli che quando si avvicineranno al loro bersaglio si separeranno per generare un'immagine 3D della cometa.
L'idea è che la cometa non sia cambiata molto dal momento della formazione del sistema solare perché non è mai entrata prima, per cui potrebbe fornire delle indicazioni sulla formazione del Sole e dei pianeti...

The European Space Agency is preparing a mission called Comet Interceptor, which will aim to photograph a comet on its first approach to the solar system.
