Così un gruppo di neuroscienziati ha studiato un sistema per permettere loro di "parlare" con il pensiero: utilizzando degli elettrodi collegati a particolari aree del cervello, sono riusciti a trasformare segnali elettrici in stimoli del tratto vocale, con la formazione di parole. Il sistema è decisamente più veloce di quelli attualmente in uso - il più famoso quello utilizzato da Stephen Hawking - e consente una velocità di parola ragionevole... Servono ancora molti sviluppi, ma il primo passo è fatto e la direzione è quella giusta!

So a group of neuroscientists studied a system to allow them to "talk" with thought: using electrodes connected to particular areas of the brain, they were able to transform electrical signals into stimuli of the vocal tract, with the formation of words. The system is definitely faster than those currently in use - the most famous one used by Stephen Hawking - and allows a reasonable word speed... Many developments are still needed, but the first step is done and the direction is the right one!
