Talking to the Traffic Lights

In futuro i semafori diranno alle nostre auto quando passare e quando fermarsi...
Oggi invece si sperimenta un sistema per comunicare al guidatore se il prossimo semaforo sarà rosso, e che velocità dovrebbe tenere per trovarlo verde... almeno in una parte degli Stati Uniti.
Al momento il sistema è disponibile solo su vetture di gamma alta, e non sempre funziona, ma tra non molto potremmo vederlo anche su vetture più piccole, con indubbi benefici per il traffico (sono convinto che se avessimo le auto a guida autonoma il traffico diminuirebbe molto, perché non ci sarebbero manovre azzardate!).

Today, as a start, a system to communicate to the driver if the next traffic light will be red, and what speed would be necessary to maintain to find it green, is under testing... at least in part of the United States.
At the moment the system is only available on high-end cars, and it does not always work, but before long we could see it even on smaller cars, with undoubted benefits for traffic (I am convinced that if we had cars with autonomous driving the traffic would decrease a lot, because there would be no risky manoeuvres!).
