Sembra impossibile, ma ancora al giorno d'oggi si fanno nuove scoperte sul nostro organismo: un gruppo di ricercatori dell'Università di Duisburg-Essen in Germania ha scoperto un nuovo tipo di vasi sanguigni, presenti nelle ossa, che ha chiamato "vasi trans-corticali" e che servirebbero al trasporto delle cellule immunitarie, prodotte nel midollo osseo, al di fuori dell'osso e nella circolazione sanguigna.
Finora si pensava che questa funzione fosse svolta da vasi più grandi che penetrano nell'osso alle estremità o al centro, ma questa scoperta porta a pensare che la circolazione nell'osso sia molto più diffusa e complicata...
