Un recente studio dell'Università di Tel Aviv mostra che le piante reagiscono al suono generato da insetti impollinatori che si avvicinano aumentando la dolcezza del loro nettare: in parole povere, sentono gli insetti che si avvicinano e reagiscono.
Ma come sentono? Sembra che i loro apparati uditivi siano i fiori...
Cioé le piante sentono tramite i fiori!
A recent study by the University of Tel Aviv shows that plants react to the sound generated by pollinating insects approaching them by increasing the sweetness of their nectar: in other words, they hear insects approaching and reacting.
But how do they hear? It seems that their hearing organs are the flowers...
That is, plants hear through flowers!
