27 gennaio 2019: giornata della memoria. Memoria di cosa? Qualche giorno fa Liliana Segre, una delle ultime sopravvissute alla Shoah, ha detto, commentando la posa di alcune pietre d'inciampo a Milano, che queste pietre sono come piccole tombe per chi non ne ha una.
Ecco, forse questo è il senso di questa giornata: dare una tomba a chi non ce l'ha, a chi non l'ha mai avuta... ricordare tutte le morti inutili, tutte le persone oppresse e perseguitate per la loro razza, colore o religione... usare la Shoah, l'olocausto, per non dimenticare che l'uomo può tirare fuori il peggio di sé e diventare una bestia spinta dall'odio.
Perché non succeda più.
January 27, 2019: International Holocaust Remembrance Day. Remembrance of what? A few days ago Liliana Segre, one of the last survivors of the Shoah, said, commenting on the laying of some Stolperstein in Milan, that these stones are like little graves for those who do not have one.
Now, perhaps this is the meaning of this day: to give a grave to those who do not have it, to those who never had it... remember all the useless deaths, all the people oppressed and persecuted for their race, colour or religion... use the Shoah, the Holocaust, to always remember that man can take out the worst of himself and become a beast driven by hate.
So that this will not happen again.
