Dopo l'annuncio dato qualche mese fa, ora è ufficiale: la sonda spaziale Voyager 2 ha raggiunto lo spazio interstellare il 5 novembre e si trova ora a 18 miliardi di chilometri dalla Terra - le comunicazioni ci mettono 16,5 ore a raggiungere il nostro pianeta.
Dato che ci sono più strumenti funzionanti su questa sonda, gli scienziati attendono con ansia le informazioni che Voyager 2 potrà fornirci su un luogo dove nessuno si è mai spinto prima (ad eccezione di Voyager 1)...
After the announcement made a few months ago, it is now official: the Voyager 2 space probe reached interstellar space on November 5th and is now 11 billion miles from Earth - communications take 16.5 hours to reach our planet.
As there are more instruments working on this probe, scientists are eagerly awaiting the information that Voyager 2 can provide us on a place where no one has ever gone before (with the exception of Voyager 1)...
