Il premio Nobel per la medicina o la fisiologia 2018 è andato a due scienziati, uno americano e uno giapponese, che hanno identificato un modo per rendere le cellule del sistema immunitario più aggressive nei confronti delle cellule cancerose: una cura costosa e con molti effetti secondari, ma comunque più efficace di qualunque altra finora provata, e che promette di essere ancora più efficace quando studiata più a fondo.

The Nobel Prize in Medicine or Physiology 2018 was awarded to two scientists, one American and one Japanese, who identified a way to make the cells of the immune system more aggressive towards cancer cells: an expensive treatment with many side effects, but still more effective than any other tried so far, and which promises to be even more effective when studied more thoroughly.
