L'Homo di Denisova è un ominide preistorico i cui resti sono stati trovati solamente in una caverna nei Monti Altaj in Siberia; al contrario dell'H. neanderthalensis e dell'H. sapiens non si è mai spostato dal riparo della sua tana...
Ma recentemente è stato scoperto, sempre nella stessa caverna, un individuo il cui DNA è un ibrido tra una madre neanderthal e un padre denisovano per cui si pensa che un gruppo di neanderthal migrati sia entrato in contatto con i "cugini" siberiani... e abbiano trasmesso qualcosa del loro patrimonio genetico anche a noi!

But recently it has been discovered, again in the same cave, an individual whose DNA is a hybrid between a Neanderthal mother and a Denisovan father, so scientists think that a group of migrant neanderthals came into contact with the Siberian "cousins"... and have transmitted something of their genetic heritage to us too!
