Twenty Years of Asteroids

Venti anni fa veniva fondato il CNEOS ( Center for Near-Earth Object Studies - Centro per lo Studio degli Oggeti vicini alla Terra) - allora conosciuto come Near-Earth Object Observations Program.
In questi 20 anni, questa divisione della NASA ha mappato accuratamente le orbite di tutti i NEO (Near Earth Objects) individuati nel cielo, studiando e predicendo le probabilità di impatto con il nostro pianeta e condividendo tali informazioni con tutti gli astronomi del mondo e con il pubblico generico...
Per ora nessun pericolo reale per al Terra...

Twenty years ago the CNEOS was founded (Center for Near-Earth Object Studies), then known as the Near-Earth Object Observations Program.
During these 20 years, this division of NASA has carefully mapped the orbits of all NEOs (Near Earth Objects) identified in the sky, studying and predicting the probability of impact with our planet and sharing that information to both astronomers worldwide and the general public.
For now, no real danger for the Earth...
