Il 29 luglio 1958 il presidente Eisenhower firmava la legge (National Aeronautics and Space Act) che istituiva la NASA: la "National Aeronautics and Space Administration" compie quindi 60 anni.
Nata in risposta al lancio dei primi satelliti Sputnik da parte dell'Unione Sovietica ed evolutasi da un precedente comitato (NACA), la NASA cominciò a lavorare ufficialmente il 1° ottobre 1958...
E in meno di 10 anni portò l'iuomo sulla Luna!

On July 29, 1958 President Eisenhower signed the law (National Aeronautics and Space Act) that established NASA: so the "National Aeronautics and Space Administration" turns 60.
Born in response to the launch of the first Sputnik satellites by the Soviet Union and evolved from a previous committee (NACA), NASA began to officially work on October 1st, 1958...
And in less than 10 years it brought the man to the moon!
