Ma alcune specie di falena hanno sviluppato delle lunghe appendici che hanno la capacità di confondere i sonar dei pipistrelli: uno studio pubblicato recentemente sulla rivista Science Advances mostra che togliendo tali appendici, la percentuale di falene che si salvano si dimezza; ugualmente, aggiungendo le appendici a specie che non le hanno, il numero di falene che si salva raddoppia...
