Birth of a Planet - 2

Dopo alcune osservazioni indirette, un team di astronomi europei ha recentemente individuato e fotografato un pianeta in formazione: PDS 70b.
Utilizzando il Very Large Telescope (Telescopio Molto Grande...) posizionato nel deserto del Cile, sono stati in grado di analizzare i dintorni della stella PDS 70, a circa 370 anni luce dalla Terra, una stella giovane intorno a cui si supponeva ci fosse attività di formazione di pianeti.
Bloccando la luce della stella ecco apparire in tutto il suo splendore il PDS 70b, un pianeta gassoso di alcune volte più grande di Giove...

Following some indirect observations, a team of European astronomers recently identified and photographed the birth of a planet: PDS 70b.
Using the Very Large Telescope (located in the Chilean desert), they were able to analyze the surroundings of the star PDS 70, about 370 light years from Earth, a young star around which it was supposed some planets formation activity could be found.
By blocking the light of the star, the PDS 70b appears in all its glory, a gaseous planet several times larger than Jupiter...
