Thousands of Black Holes

Oltre a Sagittarius A*, il buco nero supermassiccio che misura 4 milioni di volte la massa del Sole, sembra che al centro della galassia ci siano migliaia di buchi neri più piccoli, con una massa pari a "solo" 10 volte quella del Sole.
Secondo gli autori dello studio molti di questi sarebbero invisibili ai nostri telescopi, in assenza dell'accoppiata con una stella da cui traggono "nutrimento"... quale sia il loro significato non è ancora chiaro...

In addition to Sagittarius A *, the supermassive black hole that measures 4 million times the mass of the Sun, it seems that at the centre of the galaxy there are thousands of smaller black holes, with a mass equal to "only" 10 times that of the Sun.
According to the authors of the study, many of these would be invisible to our telescopes, in the absence of the coupling with a star from which they derive "nourishment"... what could their meaning be, is not clear yet...
