La prima fase del viaggio dell'uomo su Marte sarà una "vacanza", lunga 1 anno, sulla Luna. È qui infatti che verrà costruita, tra il 2108 ed il 2026, "Deep-Space Gateway", una stazione dove verrà successivamente assemblato il veicolo " Deep Space Transport" per il viaggio successivo e che fungerà da punto di partenza per la missione triennale verso il pianeta rosso.
Gli astronauti ci staranno 1 anno per abituarsi alla vita nello spazio ed agli spazi ristretti, prima del grande viaggio...
The first phase of man's journey to Mars will be a "one-year" holiday on the Moon. It is here that, between 2108 and 2026, "Deep-Space Gateway" will be built, a station where lately the "Deep Space Transport" will be assembled, and that will serve as a starting point for the three-year mission to The red planet.
