La missione Psiche doveva partire nel 2023 ed arrivare all'asteroide Psiche, da cui è denominata, nel 2030; ma poi la NASA chiese al team di accelerare, ed ora hanno trovato una finestre più favorevole, per cui partirà nel 2022 ed arriverà nel 2026! Ben quattro anni di meno!
Psiche, un asteroide in orbita tra Marte e Giove, è composto quasi esclusivamente di metallo, in particolare di ferro e nickel: sarà il primo di questo genere visitato da una sonda terrestre!
Psyche mission was supposed to be launched in 2023 and arrive at Psyche asteroid, from which it is named, in 2030; but then NASA asked the team to speed up, and now they have found a better launch window, so it will leave in 2022 and arrive 2026! Four years earlier!
