SpaceX sta programmando di lanciare in orbita 4.425 satelliti, per fornire Internet ad una velocità da fibra in tutto il mondo; questi satelliti formeranno una rete in orbita bassa che coprirà l'intero globo, rendento Internet un servizio ubiquitario...
Il sistema dovrebbe essere testato nella seconda metà dell'anno ed all'inizio del 2018; se i test avranno successo, i satelliti saranno lanciati tra il 2019 e il 2024, anno in cui il sistema raggiungerà la sua piena operatività.
E poi? Internet ovunque, a magari pure a basso costo? È presto per dirlo...
