YInMn: non è uno scioglilingua, ma il nome di un nuovo colore; per la precisione un blu, che è stato "scoperto" nel 2009 per caso in un laboratorio dell'Università dell'Oregon, da uno studente che ha miscelato ossido di Ittrio (Y), ossido di Indio (In) e ossido di Manganese (Mn) e li ha scaldati in una fornace ad alta temperatura... cercava un conduttore elettrico, e invece ha trovato un nuovo blu!
Ora Crayola ha indetto un concorso per trovare un nome migliore per il nuovo colore.
Prima di questo, il blu precedente era stato scoperto nel 1802, il blu cobalto.
Non è facile scoprire i blu...
