Dopo venti anni nello spazio, la sonda Cassini ha iniziato la fase finale della sua missione, che si concluderà tra qualche mese, con il primo passaggio tra il pianeta Saturno e il suo anello più interno.
Nessun'altro c'era mai stato prima, e c'era un po' di apprensione, ma il passaggio è andato bene e la sonda è riemersa dall'altro lato integra e piena di informazioni che sta inviando alla Terra.
Ci saranno altri passaggi prima della discesa finale, ma il primo è sempre il più emozionante...
After twenty years in space, NASA's Cassini spacecraft begun the final phase of his mission, which will end in a few months, with the first passage between the planet Saturn and its innermost ring.
No other spacecraft had ever been there before, and there was some apprehension, but the dive through went well and the probe came out from the other side in excellent shape and filled with information that is now sending to Earth.
There will be other passages before the final descent, but the first is always the most exciting...
