La Terra manda ossigeno sulla Luna... da 2 miliardi e mezzo di anni!
Alcuni atomi al limite superiore dell'atmosfera si staccano regolarmente e sfuggono nello spazio; questi atomi si raccolgono nella magnetosfera terrestre, dal lato opposto rispetto al Sole.
Così, quando la Luna è al riparo dal Sole, dietro la Terra, finisce nel mezzo di questa nube di atomi, ed alcuni finiscono nel suo suolo...
Ma non c'è da preoccuparsi, perdiamo solo una piccola quantità di ossigeno e le piante prontamente lo rimpiazzano tramite la fotosintesi... finché ci saranno piante...
Earth sends oxygen to the Moon... since 2 and a half billion years!
A few atoms at the limit of the upper atmosphere come off regularly and escape into space; these atoms collect in the Earth's magnetosphere, on the side opposite to the sun.
So, when the Moon is sheltered from the sun behind the Earth, it ends in the middle of this cloud of atoms, and a few end up in its soil...
But do not worry, we lose only a small amount of oxygen and plants readily replace it by photosynthesis... as long as there will be plants...
