Infatti, un team di ricercatori ha scoperto che per alcune specie si poteva arrivare a 6 mesi di tempo per la schiusa; questo fatto, in periodi critici, come per esempio dopo l'impatto di un meteorite sulla Terra, era un fattore svantaggioso, perché non permetteva di rimpiazzare abbastanza rapidamente gli esemplari che morivano, e quindi portò ad una ancor più rapida diminuzione dei dinosauri...
