L'osservazione diretta delle comete non è possibile, tuttavia possono essere identificate dai residui gassosi che rimangono dopo l'impatto; si pensa che questo comportamento si tipico dei sistemi giovani (non è la prima volta che si osserva un fenomeno simile) e gli scienziati pensano che studiarlo potrebbe darci qualche indicazione in più sulla giovinezza del nostro sistema solare...

The direct observation of comets is not possible; however, they can be identified by the gaseous residues that remain after the impact; scientists think that this behavior is typical of young systems (it is not the first time that a similar phenomenon is observed), and scientists believe that studying it could give us some more information on the youth of our Solar System...
