We Must Keep the Memory Alive

Dobbiamo mantenere viva la memoria perché il ricordo del passato ci permetta di evitare errori in futuro.
Purtroppo la storia tende a ripetersi ed il mondo si sta muovendo verso la paura. In molte nazioni la democrazia vacilla, e si osservano tendenze populistiche. Purtroppo molti politici se ne approfittano, invece di dichiarare con voce alta e stentorea che bisogna imparare dagli errori del passato.

We must keep the memory alive because remembrance of the past allows us to avoid mistakes in the future.
Unfortunately, history tends to repeat itself and the world is moving toward fear. In many nations democracy wobbles, and you can observe populist tendencies. Unfortunately many politicians take advantage of this, instead of declaring in a loud, stentorian voice that we must learn from past mistakes.
