Lungo le sponde del lago Mono, in California, ci sono strutture che sembrano essere di un altro pianeta... sono torri di tufo formate dall'incontro delle acque ricche di calcio delle sorgenti con quelle ricche di carbonato del lago.

Along the shores of the Mono Lake, in California, there are structures that appear to be from another planet... those are tufa towers formed by the combination of calcium-rich waters of the springs with those rich in carbonate of the lake.
