Il polo nord di Saturno cambia colore con le stagioni. Gli scienziati infatti hanno notato che la zona, rispetto ad una foto scattata 4 anni fa, ha assunto un colore nettamente differente.
La causa più probabile è che il cambiamento di colore sia dovuto ad un incremento di pulviscolo atmosferico, generato da reazioni fotochimiche causate da una maggior esposizione al sole della regione, visto che l'estate saturnina si avvicina... Le particelle sarebbero poi trattenute in loco dalle correnti stesse che generano l'esagono...
