La sonda Schiaparelli è atterrata su Marte... anche se non proprio come da previsione.
Infatti nell'ultimo tratto della discesa i razzi si sono accesi solo per pochi secondi, non riuscendo così a frenare la sonda, che ha fatto un atterraggio... un po' brusco!
E i tecnici sono in attesa dei dati che dovrebbero essere trasmessi a breve per capire il motivo del malfunzionamento.
Comunque è atterrata!
The Schiaparelli lander landed on Mars... though not quite as forecasted.
In fact, during the last part of the descent, the rockets turned on only on for a few seconds, not succeeding in decelerating the probe, which made a landing ... a little 'sharp!
And the technicians are waiting for data that should be transmitted shortly to understand the reason of the malfunction.
Anyway, it landed!
