Uno studio di Harvard Business Review analizza la situazione delle catene di comando delle aziende statunitensi: ne risulta che nel 2014 il 17,6% della forza lavoro, o 23,8 milioni di lavoratori, erano in posizioni di supervisione o gestione di persone. Ciò significa 1 manager ogni 4,7 lavoratori.
Secondo gli autori dello studio, analizzando aziende all'avanguardia in molti settori, il rapporto ideale sarebbe di 1 manager ogni 10 lavoratori; così facendo, ed impiegando i 12 milioni di manager "risparmiati" in attività più produttive, si potrebbe incrementare il PIL degli Stati Uniti di circa 3 bilioni di dollari, una cifra enorme.
Assumendo che le percentuali siano le stesse in tutto il mondo, ed espandendo lo stesso ragionamento, si arriva ad un ulteriore incremento di 5,4 bilioni di dollari...
E allora? Semplificate gente, semplificate!

According to the study authors, analyzing cutting-edge companies in many industries, the ideal ratio would be 1 manager for every 10 workers; in doing so, and employing the 12 million "saved" manager in more productive tasks, one could increase the US GDP by about 3 trillion dollars, an enormous amount.
Assuming that the percentages are the same all over the world, and expanding the same reasoning, you come down to a further increase of 5.4 trillion dollars ...
So? Simplify people, simplify!
