Out-of-the-World DNA Sequencing

Per la prima volta è stato sequenziato del DNA nello spazio, più precisamente sulla ISS.
Anche se il campione era noto ed era stato preparato sulla Terra, tuttavia il risultato è un progresso molto importante per il futuro delle esplorazioni spaziali, perché permetterà di identificare microbi o malattie durante missioni spaziali di lunga durata... e, perché no, di sequenziare anche marziani, se se ne trovassero :-)

For the first time a DNA sample was sequenced in space, more precisely on the ISS.
Although the sample was known and had been prepared on Earth, however, the result is a very important step for the future of space exploration, because it will allow the identification of microbes or diseases during long-lasting space missions... and, why not, to sequence even Martians, if there are some by chance :-)
