A 20 metri dal suolo, Rosetta ha ripreso l'ultima immagine della cometa 67P/Churyumov-Gerasimenko, prima di collidere con la superficie e perdere la connessione con la Terra.
Le osservazioni effettuate dalla sonda aiuteranno gli scienziati a comprendere meglio l'origine e l'evoluzione del sistema solare ed il ruolo che le comete potrebbero avere giocato nella formazione dei pianeti.

At 66 feet above the ground, Rosetta took the last picture of the 67P/Churyumov-Gerasimenko comet, before its impact into the comet surface and the subsequent loss of connection with the Earth.
Observations made by the spacecraft will help scientists learn more about the origin and evolution of our solar system and the role comets may have played in the formation of planets.
