Il pianeta Giove presenta delle aurore enormi, più grandi dell'intera Terra, ma visibili solo, o quasi, con un filtro per ultravioletti.
Recentemente queste aurore si sono ingrandite ancora di più, e sono più luminose, quasi che il pianeta si stesse preparando per l'arrivo di Juno, la sonda spaziale che dovrebbe entrare in orbita tra pochi giorni: un saluto di benvenuto :-)
The planet Jupiter has huge auroras, bigger than the whole Earth, but visible only, or almost so, with a filter for ultraviolet light.
Recently these auroras became even bigger, and brighter, as if the planet is getting ready for the arrival of Juno, the spacecraft that should enter orbit in a few days: a nice welcoming address :-)
