Il telescopio spaziale Hubble ha catturato una spettacolare imagine della galassia Kiso 5639: ad una estremità della galassia si nota chiaramente un'intensa attività di formazione di stelle, che risulta come lo scoppio di un fuoco d'artificio rosso nell'immagine.
Gli scienziati pensano che così fossero la maggior parte della galassie, nella loro infanzia: concentrazioni di stelle nascenti, aggregati di esplosioni nucleari, nidi di gas incandescenti...
Fuochi artificiali spaziali!
