Uno strumento grande poco più di un frigorifero, in grado di produrre circa 1.000 pillole di farmaco al giorno... È quello che si sta testando al MIT, che potrebbe permettere usi oggi neppure immaginabili, come produrre farmaci direttamente in una farmacia o un ospedale, o in zone particolarmente ardue da raggiungere... Sarebbe un sistema totalmente diverso da quello odierno, che prevede la produzione di grossi quantitativi in pochi luoghi con tutte le necessità logistiche che ne seguono...
Chissà, magari un giorno stamperemo anche i farmaci in 3D: il medico ci darà la ricetta e noi a casa ci prepareremo ciò che serve...

Who knows, maybe one day we will even print 3D drugs: the doctor will give us the prescription and we will prepare at home what we'll need...
