Intorno a questa stella orbitano almeno 3 pianeti, due dei quali potrebbero risultare adatti alla vita perché, anche se sono molto vicini alla stella, con periodi di rivoluzione di 1,5 e 2,4 giorni, la stella stessa è abbastanza fredda da non bruciarli...
Scientists from NASA and University of Liège, in Belgium, were able to identify, thanks to the Trappist telescope, an ultra-cool dwarf star that is just 40 light-years away from Earth (TRAPPIST-1). Orbiting around this star there are at least three planets, two of which may be suitable for life because, although they are very close to the star with orbiting periods of 1.5 and 2.4 days, the star itself is cool enough not to burn them...
