Nella caverna di Bruniquel, in Francia, si sono trovati resti di fuochi tra due cerchi creati con punte di stalagmiti staccate dalla base. La cosa straordinaria è che sembra che queste stalagmiti siano state rotte e posizionate, ed il fuoco acceso, più di 175.000 anni fa.
In quell'epoca l'Homo sapiens ancora non era presente sul pianeta, quindi l'unica possibilità è che la struttura sia stata creata dai Neanderthal... in contrapposizione con l'immagine che comunemente se ne ha, come di esseri brutali e poco intelligenti...
In the Bruniquel cave in France, cavers found the remains of fires between two circles created with stalagmites tips detached from the base. The remarkable thing is that it seems that these stalagmites were broken and positioned, and the fire lighted on, more than 175,000 years ago.
