BEAM

Il BEAM (o Bigelow Expandable Activity Module  - Modulo Espandibile Bigelow per le attività) è una camera spaziale che si spedisce impacchettata e, una volta a destinazione, si può espandere con l'aria per generare un locale di misura ragionevole.
Potrebbe dimostrarsi molto importante nei viaggi spaziali, in quanto consentirebbe di diminuire i volumi di carico senza sacrificare l'abitabilità, una volta arrivati...
Verrà sperimentato a breve sulla ISS, dove rimarrà "in osservazione" per due anni.
