Un uomo, tetraplegico da alcuni anni a causa di un incidente, è riuscito a controllare nuovamente i movimenti di una mano grazie ad un chip impiantato nel cervello.
Sono movimenti molto semplici, come afferrare una bottiglia o schiacciare alcuni pulsanti, e non ci sono sensazioni; la riabilitazione dopo l'intervento è durata due anni.
Ma è comunque un grosso passo avanti, ed è la prima volta che una cosa simile avviene in un paziente tetraplegico.
