Io pensavo che ci fosse un accordo internazionale per cui ciò che si trovava nello spazio era di tutti (Trattato sullo spazio extra-atmosferico), ma probabilmente la mia interpretazione della frase "Il trattato, inoltre, proibisce espressamente agli stati firmatari di rivendicare risorse poste nello spazio, quali la Luna, un pianeta o altro corpo celeste, poiché considerate «patrimonio comune dell'umanità»: l'articolo 2 del trattato afferma, infatti, che «lo spazio extra-atmosferico non è soggetto ad appropriazione nazionale né rivendicandone la sovranità, né occupandolo, né con ogni altro mezzo»" non era corretta.
Tant'è che il Lussemburgo ha ora lanciato un'iniziativa per gli scavi minerari sugli oggetti-vicini-alla-Terra (Near-Earth-Objects o NEOs) in collaborazione con aziende commerciali europee e statunitensi.
Aziende che hanno già cominciato a lavorare al progetto...

So much so that Luxembourg has now launched an initiative for mining operations on Near-Earth-Objects (NEOs) in collaboration with European and US commercial companies.
Companies that begun already to work on the project...
