Le onde gravitazionali, predette dalla Teoria Generale della Relatività, non sono mai state osservate direttamente perché sono estremamente piccole, parliamo di miliardesimi di millimetro, per cui LISA potrebbe essere la prima a misurarle e verificane l'esistenza...
LISA raggiungerà la sua posizione finale, a circa 1,5 milioni di chilometri dalla Terra verso il sole, a metà febbraio, e poi comincerà le misurazioni...
