È possibile costruire una torcia che funzioni senza uso di batterie (neppure ricaricabili)?
Lumen, l'invenzione di Rost, promette proprio questo: infatti funziona convertendo il calore del corpo - o meglio, la differenza di temperatura tra il corpo e l'ambiente - in energia elettrica sufficiente per fare accendere un piccolo LED: piccolo, ma abbastanza per rischiarare il buio...
Quindi una torcia che funziona a cibo... quello che mangiamo noi :-)

This is the promise from Lumen, the invention by Rost: in fact, it works by converting body heat - or, better, the temperature difference between body and environment - in electrical energy, enough to light a small LED: small, but enough to lighten the dark...
So it is a flashlight working with food... the food that we eat :-)
