Non capita tutti i giorni di scoprire un nuovo antenato dell'uomo... ma è quello che è successo in Sud Africa. In una caverna sotterranea sono stati trovati i resti di almeno 15 ominidi, che non corrispondono a nessuna specie conosciuta; ed infatti la nuova specie è stata denominata Homo naledi, dal nome del luogo dove i reperti sono stati ritrovati.
Che sia l'anello mancante?
It doesn't happen every day to discover a new ancestor of man... but this is what happened in South Africa. In an underground chamber the remnants of at least 15 hominins, that do not correspond to any known species; and in fact the new species has been named Homo naledi, from the name of the place where the relics were found.
Could this be the missing link?
