Dopo un viaggio di quasi 6 miliardi di chilometri (6.000.000.000 km), New Horizon ha raggiunto il punto più vicino a Plutone. L'ultimo pianeta del sistema solare - pianeta, poi planetoide, ora quasi di nuovo pianeta - l'unico mancante, è stato raggiunto. L'uomo ha raggiunto tutti i pianeti del sistema solare - con le sonde per ora :-)
Ci siamo già anche avventurati fuori un po', con Voyager... rimaniamo in attesa...
P.S.: il cuore di Plutone è la grande macchia chiara che si vede sotto l'equatore...
After a trip of more than 3.5 billion miles (3,500,000,000 mi), New Horizon reached its closest approach to Pluto. The furthest Solar System planet - planet, then planetoid, then almost planet again - the only one missing, was reached. We went already a little outside, too, with the Voyager... let's wait and see...
P.S.: the heart of Pluto if the big clear spot visible under the equator...
