Fosbury and Innovation

Per dire... prima di Fosbury, nessuno saltava così, e quando lui cominciò, e vinse l'oro alle Olimpiadi del 1968, tutti furono scioccati. Ma come, stravolgere completamente la tecnica "normale"? Stravolgere lo status quo?
Dopo quattro anni, alla successiva olimpiade, saltavano tutti così, con una tecnica "sbagliata".

Just to say... before Fosbury, nobody was jumping like that, and when he started, and won the gold at 1968 Olimpycs, everybody was shocked. How come, to radically change the"normal" technique? Radically change the status quo?
Four years later, at next Olympics, everybody jumped like that, using a "wrong" technique.
