Un team di ricercatori del MIT ha creato dei robot che sono originariamente piatti e poi si possono conformare semplicemente attivando con il calore alcune pieghe, come fossero origami... e possono anche compiere semplici - per ora - movimenti...
Possono quindi essere spediti e posizionati occupando poco spazio, per attivarsi quando serve; questo potrebbe semplificare l'uso per esempio in ambienti ostili, in quanto sarebbe necessaria solo una frazione di energia per trasportarli...
Un altro passo verso il futuro!
A team of MIT researchers created robots that are initially flat and later can fold themselves simply activating with heat some folds, like origami... and they can also make simple - for the moment - movements...
So they can be shipped and placed using very little space, and activate when needed; this could simplify use in e.g. adverse environments, as only a fraction of energy will be needed to transport them...
Another step toward the future!
